Below are the official ACT national test dates for the 2026-2027 testing year, with the regular and late registration deadlines for each date. National test dates apply to the United States, U.S. territories, Puerto Rico, and Canada (New York and international locations follow a separate schedule).
The ACT is offered seven times a year. Regular registration usually closes about five weeks before each test date, followed by a late-registration window (with an added fee) a couple of weeks later. If you miss the late deadline, you may be able to request standby testing through your ACT account. Register and find your test center at act.org.
